Today we are releasing Files Preview v4.0.41 for users of the preview version.
An update icon should be displayed in the top right corner of the app for existing users, while new users can get started from our download page. What’s New in Files v4.0.41
Updated Settings experience
We’ve replaced the Settings dialog with a dedicated Settings page. This will allow us to improve the Settings experience in ways that weren’t possible with the previous design.
We also added support for changing the display font directly from Settings.

Preview Pane improvements
- Added support for previewing AVI files.
Accessibility
- Added access key support for shell extensions in the context menu.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue with importing settings.
- Fixed an issue where opening programs from search results could fail.
- Fixed an issue where the tags widget displayed duplicate items.
- Fixed operation status reporting when moving files from protected or administrator folders.
- Fixed an issue where the window didn’t get focus when launched via
Win+E. - Fixed an issue with previewing CSS files.
